~ Introduction to Leaded Stained Glass - 6 Weeks

This beginning course introduces you to the basic tools, techniques and procedures used in producing leaded glass. Topics covered include: Glass cutting, leading, glazing and finishing. A detailed outline of the class and hand-outs on special techniques will be available during the class. This most important class represents the foundation from which all other classes are based and will insure you have a successful and sound foundation from which to explore other areas of the media. ~ Introduction to Copperfoil - 6 Weeks

This class will teach you the basic techniques of stained glass using copper foil. You will finish a sample practice panel and a complete project. Handouts on basic techniques will be available during the class. Fee: Contact      Limit: 10 Students

~ Yard Art & Other Tacky Adventures in Glass - 3 Weeks

This fun class will utilize leading, copper foil, fusing, and/or mosaic techniques. Students will create 2 or 3 pieces of yard art - flower stake(s), stepping stone(s), glass flowers, etc. Previous experience in cutting glass is helpful but not necessary. Fee: Contact      Limit: 10 Students

~ Introduction to Fusing & Slumping - 3 Weeks

Learn the basics of glass fusing, slumping, draping, and kiln carving to create 3 projects. Learn how to make a vase, wind chime, a beautiful plate, bowl, etc. Kiln information and firing schedules will be covered. Fee: Contact      Limit: 10 Students

~ Introduction to Painting on Glass - 3 Weeks

This introductory course is designed to teach you the techniques of mixing, tracing, matting, and silver, straining, and firing procedures. Kiln procedures will be completely covered. Attendees will provide their own brushes and paints. Fee: Contact      Limit: 8 Students

~ Introduction to Mosaic - 3 Weeks

Learn the direct and indirect methods of mosaic work. Transform "Trash to Treasure" using mosaic and found objects. Class includes completion of a stepping stone and a plant pot. Some materials are provided and some will need to be purchased. No experiences needed. Fee: Contact      Limit: 10 Students

~ Glass Garden Stakes - 1 Day

Create a beautiful class flower for your garden or someone else's. Garden stakes are approximately 12" diameter and are stunning. Fee: Contact      Limit: 10 Students

~ Copper Foil Box - 2 Weeks

Tom Russell brings his extensive glass experience to teach a class on creating a stained glass box. Learn to build stained glass in 3-D! Design your own box using stained glass, glass bevels, or a combination of both. Learn the secrets of a well made stained glass box including hinges and decoration.
